Singles Ladder for HBA members
HBA have joined up with SportMeets.com, an online service that helps sports players get together for games and events, find suitable partners and compete in sport ladders. Creating an event or challenging someone for a game takes only a minute. People get notified instantly and can RSVP via their preferred method - be it SMS, Email, Facebook or Twitter.
HBA New Singles Ladder
Members can challenge each other (up to 3 places above) for matches and move up and down the ladder as they win or lose (swap places if you win). Ladders are a great way to develop your game and meet new players. The only criteria are that you are an HBA member and 16+ years old.
Join the ‘HBA Mens Singles ladder’ by visiting http://sportmeets.com/ladder/hba-menssingles. Just head over to http://sportmeets.com/join to create your account and join in.
For those not affiliated to HBA, they will soon be able to join  the BE sports centres Battle Badminton.

  Junior Age Group Changes 2016

On 1st January 2016, Badminton Europe changed their rules for determining International Junior age groups so that Europe falls in line with the rest of the World.

As a result of this Badminton England have reviewed the current domestic age groups and we will be changing from 1 July 2016.

Junior players will move up one age group – for example if you were born in 1999 you are currently regarded as an U17 player, but under the new rules you would be classed an U18 player, and therefore become an U19 next season.

Click here to find out more about the changes, and how you will be affected next season.

This impacts all clubs and organisations that hold personal data.

Update your Email Preferences or miss important information
Please can you remind all your members that they need to update their email preferences on the new Badminton England Go Membership system,  otherwise they will not receive any communication from them.

They should have received a generic message directly from Badminton England once you affiliated your club and all your members but Badminton England have advised that some members have not carried out this simple task.

It only takes a few minutes and  click here for a brief guide which shows members how to do this.

It is important to note that if members do not update this section they will default to “ Do Not Contact” and Badminton England will not send them any future communication.
